Resumen

El presente artículo pretende recoger algunos aspectos requeridos para que los ingenieros, y especialmente los de Sistemas y Telecomunicaciones, permanezcan vigentes en el cambiante escenario del siglo XXI, donde no es suficiente con exhibir un título de pregrado y un conocimiento específico. Se trata de realizar un recorrido por aspectos académicos, laborales, culturales y de comportamiento personal, mostrando que la escuela debe preocuparse por desarrollar una serie de condiciones y habilidades al profesional en formación (educar para el futuro), pero también considerar que la formación temática específica no puede ser desligada de la formación de valores y responsabilidad social y ecológica.

Abstract

This article tries to collect some items required for engineers, especially Systems and Telecommunications Engineers, remain them in force in the changing scenario of the 21^st century, where it isn’t enough to display an undergraduate's degree and specialized knowledge. This is a tour of academics, work, cultural and personal behavior, showing that the school should be concerned by developing a set of conditions and the professional skills training (educating for the future), but also see the training topic specifications can not be separated from the formation of values and social and environmental responsibility.
