In this paper, an analysis of the positioning of audiovisual narratives linked to post-colonial literature in Latin America is carried out. A theoretical reading of the possibilities of decolonization speeches made by different authors of post-colonialism is made through the approach to the category of miscegen- ation in the period soap operas. Productions that are shown as audiovisuals that break, to some extent, with Euro-centrist thinking inherited by Europeans at the time of colonization. This seeks to highlight local diversity and its con- tribution to the formation of current culture in Latin America and, in addition, to understand the role of the media in the unveiling of history to derive, in the future, a possible research exercise.
